One of these days, I'll post one of my sketches. Regardless of skill level, I'm thankful that I can do a little drawing each month in such a fun atmosphere.
I confess that I have more books on art than sketches.
It's a dream I refuse to give up.
I learn so much through the art of seeing.
Then, just yesterday, I stumbled upon this group.
My heart did a little dance.
Wow, an opportunity to spend three hours in a local bar with like-minded art monkeys from off the street, drawing a tattooed burlesque dancer doing her thing. A night dedicated to drinking, drawing, and debauchery. It sounds, ironically, like heaven.
Everything I need--sketchpads, pencils, and assorted erasers--is in plastic storage containers in the garage. They're even labeled. Yet it'll still take what amounts to an archaeological dig to get to them.
But I will do what it takes.
It's never too late to play out a dream.
